The Nerd Is The Word

Last week I posted about the mysterious woman who appeared at the end of Flashpoint #5 and her appearance in Justice League #1.

For a recap here she is in Flashpoint:

Being all meta talking about unifying timelines, hence the name Meta-Woman. Then here she is in Justice League watching an American Football game that Cyborg is playing in:

Well she is back in force this week as she makes her mysterious presence known to readers across DC’s line wide relaunch.

Here are her appearances in the DC comics I have read this week:

Action Comics #1:

On a train with Jimmy and Lois.

Justice League International #1:

Checking out Booster Gold’s butt outside the Hall of Justice.

Swamp Thing #1:

Perving on Alec Holland while he works and/or fixing his truck.

Animal Man #1:

Perving on Buddy Baker while he bleeds from his eyes!

Stormwatch #1:

Perving on Apollo in a dark alley.

Detective Comics #1:

Staring at Batman after he has crash-landed on the roof of a car.

Batgirl #1:

I almost missed this. She is on the right reflected in the glass. She is standing on a rooftop opposite watching a man be thrown out of a window.

She will no doubt be in all the other DC books published this week, but I don’t have enough money to buy them all!

Apart from having a strange fascination with male superheroes’ bottoms. Meta-Woman seems to be checking in on our heroes to see if this new timeline that she and Barry Allan, The Flash, created seems to be in working order. I like it. It is a little something that ties all the new books together and it will most likely slowly lead up to a big event down the line. But more than that it gets people to really look at the art work of each comic trying to find her! Kudos DC! Kudos!
